This space is dedicated to my '90 Mustang. I purchased her in June of 2004. Bone stock and freshly painted, I fell in love. 2 weeks into ownership, starter died. Luckily, the dealership paid for a new one.

In March of 2005, I received a phone call from the Ministry of Transportation telling me that my car was branded as salvage and I could not put her back on the road. After numerous phone calls I finally managed to get the car rebranded. In September of the same summer, I was leaving work when she started making a weird squeaking noise which I couldn't locate, half way home... **BOOM**, oil pressure disappeared and she shook terribily. I didn't know what happened, only that something bad did to the bottom end. Finding a large bump in the side of the oil pan also comfirmed this. With no time or money to fix her, all I could do was tuck her away for the winter early. She stayed running all the way home, and even started back up again a month or so later and made it across town (under her own power) to be stored in my father's garage.

Finally in spring of 2006. I had worked up enough cash to get a new motor. Pulling the old motor apart reveiled the a connecting rod on #5 broke loose, smashed the oil pump in itty-bitty pieces and tore a chunk out of the block itself, making it a paperweight. So, with only being able to find truck-302's laying around in rough shape, a long block seemed the way to go.
