To my page for my new 2005 Dodge Neon. I bought my new toy from Jim Preuitt Ford & Mercury in Talladega, Alabama on July 5th, 2007 with 43,801 miles on her. She was bought brand new in Oklahoma and used as an Enterprise Rental car until Jim Preuitt got her. I've always liked the Neon's and now I finally got one. My "Baby Mopar" is on her way to becoming one sweet ride!!!
July 20th, 2007: 44,303 and she's still driving just as sweet as when I bought her 2 weeks ago. I ordered my new rims today! I ordered 16" x 7" Helo Tease rims wrapped in Nexen N3000 205/45/16 tires. I'll update when I get them!
July 25th, 2007: Guess what??? I got a phone call from the company that I ordered the rims from and they said that they no longer had them! Yeah...I was so pissed, so, they gave me a discount on the 16" x 7" ICW Racing Odessa Black rims wrapped in the same Nexen tires. So, hopefully I'll have them in the next week! And I shaved off the dealer sticker on the trunk. It looks a heck-of-a-lot better now!
August 7th, 2007: I finally got my rims in today!!! Guess what, wrong rims and tires but screw them, I'm tired of messing with them so I'll keep them. I received 16" x 7" ICW Adrenaline Rrims wrapped in Riken Raptor Tread. Let me know what you think!!! I also got my A/C overlay but I hated the way it looked!!! The white didn't match well so I took it off. {Waste of money}
August 8th, 2007: I ran out of daylight to take the pics of the rims yesterday after getting off of work and putting them on. I think they look sweet! Pics will go up tonight. I'm getting fed up with companies not having what I ordered. I was just notified that the black taillights I originally ordered are out of stock, so I will now be recieving carbon fiber ones. Almost the same and I was going to purchase carbon fiber A & B Pillars anyways. Any thoughts???
August 16th, 2007: I got my APC carbon fiber taillights in today and got them on. I'm not sure how I feel about them. What do you think???
August 25th, 2007: I bought the Sylvania Cool Blue 9007 Bulbs today and put them on (Which took longer than I thought it would). You can tell from the pics the difference!
August 26th, 2007: I ordered the Black clear corners for my baby! I'm going to put red bulbs in it and keep up with the whole red/black theme!
August 30th, 2007: I got my new Black corner lights. Can't find red bulbs for them. 194's blew and they told me they were the same thing as 168's. Whatever. Anyways, tell me what you think!
August 31st, 2007: I ordered a CD player out of a 2004 Neon SRT-4. My car has the cassette with the cd changer controls. I liked the flush look of the factory so I got a factory cd player!
September 6th, 2007: I recieved my OEM CD player today and installed it. It works great! It's even louder than my previous radio!
September 27th, 2007: I'm about to order a bunch of stuff these next few weeks. Be looking for updates to my page!
October 1st, 2007: I bought a pair of Streetglow OPTX Red Strobes for my headlights. It was a very painstaking process! It took about 3 hours to get them all hooked up and working properly. I had to drill holes into the side of the headlights, hook the strobes up to the transformer (Placed on top of Engine Fuse Box), and then run the wires through the firewall to right up under the left side of the dash to the Control Module that let's you change their speed and patterns. I hooked the negative to a bolt on the chassis and the positive to the License Plate Light Fuse. They look GREAT!!! Well worth the money! I'll have pics up soon!
October 3rd, 2007: I tinted my front window sunscreen with 2.5% Black tint. It looks Great!!! You can read the Streetglow decal across the front window clearer now! Also, I ordered a Red AEM Cold Air Intake for my car today!!! I can't wait untill I get it.
October 11th, 2007: I started painting some of my interior red. I painted the Gauge Cluster with 10 coats of Dupli-Color interior paint. It gives it a flush and smooth look. Pics up soon.
October 15th, 2007: I got my AEM cold air intake put on and bought a Spectre Racing breather to replace one of the hoses. It looks bad!!! I love it and man can you feel a difference. The whistling sound it makes is so cool! I recommend it to everyone!!!
October 22nd, 2007: I ordered the Razo Aluminum GT-1 Wiper Blades from Cardomain.com today. They look bad from the pics and you can't beat the deal!!!
October 25th, 2007: I received my Razo Aluminum Wing windshield wipers today! Man are they sharp!!! This weekend is photo shoot day and I'll catch up on all of my new installs!
November 18th, 2007: I put up a couple of new pics of my cold air intake and etc. I went to a car show-off in Pell City, AL yesterday. It was a blast! My car club (SideStreetWays) and 4 others were there. Also, today I bought a PILOT Racing short shifter Aluminum shift knob and got it put on. It's so cool! I also painted the radio bezel red to match my speedometer cluster underlay!
December 10th, 2007: I received my reverse gauges! Man are they bad! They're white during the day and light up blue at night. Pics will be up soon! If you don't turn the blue on, you can leave just the red needle glowing on the white face! It's incredibly awesome!!!
December 25th, 2007: I got a Magellan 3200 GPS Navigation System! It's sweet!
January 16th, 2008: I uninstalled my Reverse gauges because they began to malfunction. So, we're back to stock now which really isn't a problem. Also, I replaced the Streetglow decal on my window with my car club's logo. AwesomeDecals.com now sponsors us as well as AndysAutoSport.com. I uninstalled my Streetglow Headlight strobes because they looked pink instead of red. I will have to try another brand. Anyone know of any other good ones?
February 21st, 2008: I ordered (2) Kicker Comp 12" Subwoofers and installed them inplace of my spare tire. It looks awesome and they sound great! I used 8 Gauge Monster Audio Cables and the trunk is lit up with red neon lights. Updated Pics will be up soon!
March 14th, 2008: I got my new Tsudo Cat-Back Exhaust put on. There is a huge power difference! I gained nearly 20 more HP and 2 MPG. I will have pics up soon.
