Engine Had a bit of a engine swap to do see below

Well the old 305 engine has expired big time,2 of the pistons had rings break up and wreck the block, but luckily I ve managed to get a 350 ci Small block out of an 88 Corvette that was out of a friends car as he's just fitted a 454 in the search for more power..

15-9-07 found out today that the engine in my van has a load of performance parts fitted to it already by my mate before deciding it still wasnt fast enough for him, work done on the engine includes the crank being balanced,

I had to modify my Edelbrock inlet manifold slightly as the center bolts holes are more vertical on the newer engines, and the engine was originally a TPI injection model, also I had to change the flex plate to a 168 tooth one with the later hole spacings as its a 1 piece crank seal. and swap the gear on the hei distributor to a steel one as the new engine has roller lifters and the cam is a steel billet one,

The 600 cfm Holley carb is more suited to the new engine, although I think it could do with the jets changing to the next size up

Gearbox fully rebuilt TH-350

Axle stock 2.77 gearing although I have another axle with higher gearing that I might fit later on.

Exhaust While the engine was out I managed to get enough materials to redo the exhaust including Hedman headers for a Chevy van, into 3 " tubing and a crossover with Borla Turbo silencers and tailpipes that exit in front of the rear wheels on both sides2

Wheels and Tyres

Cragar 8x15 8 spokes painted grey/silver

I ve just changed the tyres to

General XP 2000 265-60-15's on the rear and 225-60-15's on the front which looks a lot better

Bodywork

the stock painted bumpers were removed and chromed ones fitted, the front one is actually a modified rear bumper as I couldn't find a decent chrome front bumper

the van has been repainted in Vauxhall Flame red and the doors have been reskinned as the rust was getting bad on the bottoms, and theres a small mural/painting on the sides and spare wheel cover that my girlfriend painted on to break up the monotony of an all,red van,

22-09-07 been thinking about changing the colour of the van to a light blue with a white stripe over the coming winter

A set of air horns have been fitted to the roof which get their air from a tank mounted underneath and is filled via a valve from any garage air line
