Thanks for taking a look at my 1995 BMW e34 540i.
I just added my car on 7.1.07, so this will be a page in progress. Just to tell you a little about myself and car.
I purchased this car used back in 2001 at a local car dealership, I was SO inspired by its construction and V8 performance that I decided to start my own owner's group in Minneapolis, separate from the BMWCCA... we call it the "Minneapolis Bimmer Group."
This is our website: "www.TechnoBMW.com"
We have monthly gatherings on the First Tuesday of the month, along with other organized events. Check out the website and our forum for more details on gathering information. I hope you also get a chance to check out the short student film the VP of my group made for film school, we had a lot of fun making it!
We used an actual (former duty) police car for the shots. The rep from the prop rental stated it had all the actual performance "Police Mods" in place (performance chip, suspension, etc...); sadly enough it couldn't keep up with me even if I gave them a head start. In the shot that I'm running a stop sign, we had to start at the exact time, you can see how far ahead I am, that's how much faster my car was in acceleration! With all the recent suspension mods, it's scary fast on the street. This car is a 4 door sedan with stock 282 hp and 295 ft-lb of torque (Chipped 301 hp/328 ft-lb torque), I can't imagine the skills necessary to control the new M5 with 500+ hp or any of the supercars. I really like this car, if you haven't driven a BMW, I would highly recommend taking a little time to check them out... you might walk away with a different perspective on what fun on the road is all about! ;)
Enjoy! :)
This is the Student film I drove my car in: "Universal Sigh"
These are the mods I've done so far:
- Replaced out corners and side blinkers with Euro Hella clears, not the cheap imitation crap on eBay!
- Installed DEPO headlights. (The blue color tone is actually a "photographic color adjustment.")
- Koni fully adjustable shocks and struts, H&R springs, lowered 1.75" front, lowered 1.5" rear.
- M5 Sedan sway bar in front, M5 Touring sway bar in rear.
- 750 bushings upgrade replacement in Lemforder thrust arms.
- All new steering rods and arms recently replaced.
- Replaced control arms with Lemforder aluminum components.
- BBS BMW Style 5 wheels, two piece forged aluminum, 17" (Bottom of the page for updated picture)
- Zimmerman Cross-drilled Rotors
