after catching my breath (laughing too hard) I told my girl it's a porsche. her reply "how old is that thing?"
HEY !!! it was HOT in the seventies!!! the car to have!!!
She looked at me as if I were stupid, hell maybe I am, maybe this car is a lame duck, or maybe I'm bringin sexy back!(wtf?)
Anyways I had too many other projects going on so I sold it to my cousin. I'm still building it the way I was going to, just now he owns it, kinda wierd. at least I have the exclusive "buy back rights".

well the old feul injection system (if thats what you want to call it)sucked . since it had a vacum advance distributor on it I though CARBORATOR!
since the bolt pattern is ford 4 lug/ the alternator looks very ,ummm , ford like, as well as the uh duraspark box??
I figured hell, might as well put a holley on it.

It's a holey 390 cfm on a N.O.S. plate .
This is what it looks like now on the car.

Just a heads up, with the change of the formatting of CarDomain My sound set-up vanished...and I believe because of this that ratings fell down, I would appriciate you checking it out and giving it another shot! -Thanks MagicEddie88

Nice cowl on the Porsche! Well, I just decided to do my 2.2 engine for now. It's kinda funny though. Now that my parts are all here and I'm going to start building, I actually have a 3.4 engine coming. Doesn't matter though, I can either use the modified 2.2 till it dies while I buikld the 3.4 or I could just sell the 2.2 but I miss my car so I'm going to run it like it is. Also, I'm sick of peoeple dissing 4 cyls. Sure, it takes time and a lot of work to beef them up, but it's the same with any engine. My Sunfire will probably push around 200-250 give or take but the car doesn't weight that much anyway. So it'll do just fine in the 1/4. 1 day I'm going to put a 3.4 or 3.8 in a Cavalier or Sunfire...no dought.

Yeah - I hear you, but the thing is that these guys may have nice looking rides, but did THEY do it? Don't get me wrong - I'm a big supporter of capitalism and if you can pay someone to fix up your car, go for it! I think the premise behind contests such as these is that they're wanting to SEE what the person went through getting the car to where it is - maybe not to the level of photographing every screw replacement, but show that you have some sort of connection (scraped knuckles, missing limbs, etc) to the car other than the pain of your wallet being a couple Gs lighter! I really think that is why I was selected - my page illustrates to a greater degree what I am going through, than the guy that only has the glamour shot of the car.

Hey thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment! I'm sure you can appreciate the fact that this is a one-man show :) Well, hopefully parts for A/C will come either today or over the weekend so I can get the dash back in place - things should go quicker once that's in place!
