Hey, this is my baby. its a 1973 SS Chevelle. I almost got a 1972 but i wanted it to be a Super Sport and i wanted something different but still an attention grabber.
After football was over i got a job that was bringing in about a hundred a week for 5 weeks. it wasnt much but it made my motor look a lot better. I got the gm performance valve covers, they are tall chrome with black "Chevrolet" stamped in it and red chevy bowtie. I also got the hilborn style street scoop to give it that agressive look. I also have a Sunpro 3 3/8 tach on the dash. I dont have the cowl hood on yet, its the 4 inch and itll look pretty nice when i get it on there after baseball season. I want to get a hole cut out of the hood and just let it stick through but then rain would get on my motor and it's illegal to have anyhing sticking out of your hood over 2 inches in Alabama so I will have to wait till I have the cowl hood before I can leave the street scoop on there and close the hood. The Pics on the next page are new but not with my cowl hood yet. I have to take the street scoop off to shut the hood on my body pics on them.
My second gear went out in March. i just got my 4 barrell Holley, torker 2 intake, and Blaster 2 coil on her and it had a lot more power. Well when I was goin into second gear in the Turbo 350 which is about 50-55 mph it was spinning almost out of controll, well i got my tires nice and sticky once to see how quick it was against a new Mustang and i left him in first, and hit second and took off and quit at about 120mph. Well he got pissed and wanted a rematch. Well i got the tires a lil warmer and raced again. I left him at first and then was hitting second gear, well when i hit it it just gave out and i let off of it and it went to third. so now im supposed to be puting a 4 speed in it so that means i will have to wait longer to get my cowl scoop put on, but i always wanted a manual anyways so i will jus have to be patient.
