1951 Hudson Hornet
This car was used by Gunnar Racing to create the body for Paul Newman's "Doc Hudson" race car used at the opening of the Pixar Movie "Cars" at the Lowes Motor Speedway. More info can be found here:

The car was originaly purchased by an assistant school superintendent in Sacramento, CA. He had the car until the early 90's when a collector out of Texas bought it. He sold the car a few years later to a couple in New York who then sold the car to Gunnar Racing, who only owned it for a few months to make the Pixar movie car with.

The car has 1 repaint and an original 112k miles. Since it spent the vast majority of it's life in the western US, it is virtually rust free and has not been restored. It runs and looks great, other than needing a repaint and a little re-chroming.

Hey, I am going to school in South Dakota and found one in a field that I am in the process of buying. You wouldn't happen to know where I could get and engine, transmission and rear end for it? I want to stay original.

My dad actually owns a '51 hornet coupe. he's had it for about 30 years and i guess there's only around 5 left in the country.
