This is my 2000 Ford Explorer. I had the motor rebuilt at 85k, and it's got about 15k now. It is a 302 5.0 liter V8. So far performance wise i have done a custom cold air intake. By custom i mean i bought 5 different parts from different places and put it together. AEM filter, with some 3.5 inch chrome pipes. I have a magnaflow exhaust, its swept-side. I cut my back two cats off, and now it roars. I also put in a 16 inch high performance permacool electric fan. It came with a 190 degree stat. I noticed a nice gain from this all through the rpms. I will post some pics of the fan later. As far as stereo goes i have installed a Kenwood Headunit, in the front doors i have 5.25 inch JBL components, in the back doors are pioneer 3-way 6x8s, and in the back i have 2 12inch audiobahn high excursion woofers powered by a kicker XS50 2-channel amp. I also got a set of clear corners put in and some 32 inch Pirelli Scorpion ATRs thrown on the rims. Take a look, enjoy, rate, chill, w/e.
Update(1/4/08): Fan is on! Runs good, a few degrees colder then normal. Can really feel the low end torque more. I have also ordered some new headlights to go along with the new clear corners.
Update(3/6/08): New Headlights in! They are very bright and light up the road much better than my old ones. Thinking about raising the body a few inches. Not sure how much. More than likely will get 1.5 inch shackles for the back, and crank the torsion bar up front .5 inch. This will take care of my 1 1/8 inch sag i have in the back. Some 1 to 1.25 inch wheel spacers will make everything nice and proportional. Also, thinking of getting some 4:10 gears. I might go search around a junkyard this summer.
Update (3/27/08): New Motorcraft Ignition System! Had to replace the stock system because of two bad plugs! I drove it from Columbia to Aiken (50 miles) on 6 cylinders which killed my gas mileage. Total gas consumption 1/4 -1/2 a tank. Whew, expensive. With these new plugs and Ignition system i should be riding clean...no longer dirty.
Here are some shots of the inside, audio and visual. As well as the engine.
