This is my 1975 Chevrolet Monza 2+2 Hatchback. It's my pride and joy, equipped with a 5.7L V8 350 Small Block, Radical Racing Cams, 4 Barrel-Carb, POSI-tracted rear end, and true duel exhaust. I got it dynoed... and the specs? Well;
400-438 Horsepower
400-450 Ft.Lbs. of Torque
Stock Weight: 2713lbs.
Curb Weight: 3024lbs.

These pictures were taken at the beginning of this year (2007). This is at my Grandma's house, and no touch-up work has been done to the body or the interior. The car sat in this spot for 6+ years. The tires were dry rotted, the interior was dirty and oily, the car didn't run, the fuel line was plugged, headlights didn't work, rust on the engine block and filters, rust on the body, the sealent of the windows was deteriorating, and there was a half tank of varnish (gasonline). Needless to say, this car needed some work..

February 13, 2008:
The car is running beautifully. The fuel pump is fixed and pumpin like it should. Timing is adjusted so it's a whole lot quieter (I want it to be a sleeper). Speedometer and gauges all work now. Transmission shifts when it's supposed to. Brand new tires, new brake shoes, new master cylander, changed the spark plugs to new Bosche plugs, patched the hole in the floor, and gave the car a wash.

I also did some touch up work on the hatch and rear bumber. You'll notice that the huge hole in the hatch is gone and the cracked bumper is no longer cracked!

Unfortunately, my camera is lost.... so I can't throw up pictures of it recently, but I have some of it a few months ago. Yes, there's still rust. I had removed all the rust with a sander and wire drills, but I left it out one day... and the day I left it out it POURED. Eh, Michigan has unpredictable weather, so when I wash it it either rains, snows, or salt trucks explode right next to it....

I got a stopwatch and timed the 0-45mph. I did 10 trials and each of them where on the same day, same road, etc. The average?
Average 0-45mph: 1.32 seconds
Pretty good if I don't say so myself!

I estimate the 0-60 to be between 3 and 4.3 seconds, but I cannot find a road where I can LEGALLY hit 60 fom a dead stop... and I wanna be law-abiding =)

Edit... a few hours later:
Forget lawabiding, I was curious and I figured out the 0-60. Fortunatly, no cops were around when I did ten trials. The average? Almost what I estimated: 4.01 seconds. I did ten trials, and on a good four (maybe six) of them, I accidentally burned out. I didn't want to retry the results, so kept them as they were.
Average 0-60: 4.01 seconds
