philosophy: no rice, no bullshit, just individual character and real-world performance
This is my 1993 Honda Civic DX. It has gone through somewhat of a transformation since I first got it. All pix below are the progression from how it used to be to it's most current form as you scroll down. It's not much but any enthusiast on a budget should understand that it takes time and patience to get what you want. I do my modding one part at a time and tinker on the ride nearly every week since it's my daily driver.
Still has the stock D15B7 motor. Motor swap very soon...
it got broken into in Feb 08 so my Pioneer head unit and Kicker subs were taken.

Old pic of how the car looked before when I got it.

I just replaced the distributor housing a couple months ago. The o-rings were shot and ignition wires fried. I put in one from a 95 .
white face gauges and carbon fiber bezel

Autometer 4" tachometer,

Type R style rear strut bar,

backseat and rest of the rear gutted out, short shifter, Pioneer head unit,

Pioneer 6x9's in front

*UPDATE* July 7,2007
The M3 style mirrors I put in a long time ago originally came flat black. decided to paint them red

Just got the tv back from FL. It was originally put in my previous civic: a 96 4-dr Civic. Here's the entire setup w/ the inverter & tv module

The tv is a 7" Pyle monitor that's probably almost a decade old. This was back when these cost about a $1000 each.

Sellin all of it...
*UPDATE* July 19, 2007
Just got my ITR front strut bar

And I also went ahead and took out the center console pieces with the shifter boot and the piece around the e-brake to repaint them.
I also decided to sell my in-dash monitor.
*UPDATE* July 20,2007

*UPDATE* 20080330
Well, my car got broken into a couple of weeks ago and my head unit along with my amp and Kicker subs were stolen. the entire sound system. They even took my shades. everything = more than $1000. decided to finally paint the car myself. i did a lot of bodywork before prepping for paint but it's done. i sprayed a metallic blue but i still have a little more work to do. little more clearcoat and i'll be good. don't mind the hood. i'm replacing it.
i bought a Jensen head unit w/ touchscreen monitor and dvd player (yea i know... but it was cheap) as a replacement. Don't have too many pics of the process but here it is...
UPDATE 20080429
carbon fiber shift boot, c-pillar bar, and my quick release. the steering wheel hub just came in today.

new Mugen steering wheel

here installed is the Boss hub w/ the quick release after wiring up the horn button

finished product
June 1, 2008

fuel pressure gauge installed on the filter

replacement Denso O2 sensor

OBX cat
*up until now i had custom exhaust piping made and a test pipe, no resonator=LOUD+annoying; so putting this on makes it street legal again...(shhhh)*

new Tsudo cat-back exhaust(sounds much better)

took out the old gauge cluster and Autometer tach mounted on the dash
replacement is from a 95 civic EX w/ tach
Sirius Sat.radio + Navigon GPS
July 22,2008
remounted the sat radio; givin full credit of the idea to someone special, thanks
also replaced the speedometer gauge on the new cluster i put in from the old one i took out since it kept flickering and getting stuck at various speeds
here's something you dont see everyday. i dont know if most civic owners know this but the stock tachometer gauge is not accurate w/rpm readings. here's what i did: i completely took apart my autometer tach(which is very accurate) since it wouldnt fit in the cluster and i wont mount it. i took the needle coil windings w/ the board and swapped that out for the stock one and hooked it up the way i had the autometer. no one will ever know you had an aftermarket hook up but it is a great idea. now im set w/ very accurate gauges!
more to come..........
