the 1979 VB Commodore SLE "MOBY"
I named her Moby after the Great White Whale; Cpt Ahab could never catch, ........a true Leviathan!
...here are some standard photo's i took of her at Centennial Park, Lurline & 'the suction' shortly after i bought her.
You'll notice, several things about this vehicle; dodgey-rims, off-coloured quartas, missing trim(s) DUDE! the list could go on.....but it wont, several years of neglect and being passed thru 3or4 different hands. BUT thats okay, i see the beauty within spooky though, something about this situation that reminds me of StevenKings' 'Christine'.
I haven't got a nice run-sheet of her stats, nor do i know alot about her history, from the previous
owner(s).... i have a feeling she was in an acci sometime in her life; drivers'side quarta's-headlamp-grille all seem to be a little different. Windshield was replaced (by owners discretion)& aparently the brakes'/or/suspension's had some work done on it too. Pretty vague history really > not to worry SOOon i'll make all the history she needs.
As funds are slowly creeping on the rise, any major upgrade will have to wait. in the meantime, tho, piece-by-piece im finding all the little bells n whistles that made this 'Flagship' so special to begin with. EG: headlamp whipers -leather interior (retrim, of course!) drivers'&side personal lighting unit - Ubeaut'Shagpile carpet- ashtrays Galore!C'mon GMH! - 253 RED V8 engine. 4.2L 3 speed AUTO. OAHAHAHA!
