This is my Spyder-my pride and joy. Hope you like it.
6G72 3.0L SOHC V6,
est. 245hp / 235ftlbs tq
The Spyder GT includes the same engine in the GTS which has 10:1 compression pistons, MVIM (Mitsubishi Variable Intake Manifold)which has variable-length runners with butterfly valves for improved throttle response, better torque curve, and improved power across the power band, and more aggressive final drive ratio (4.01) with the 5 speed. The 6G72 is actually ragged on alot due to the fact that tuners complain that it cannot handle more than 10 psi of boost from a forced induction system, but I have seen these cars handling more than 17 lbs to the tune of over 400hp. Lower compression pistons and non-staggered cams fix the problems people complain about, and finding away around the restrictive exhaust system for those of us with Cali-spec cars also goes a very long way. I have yet to decide if headers are a worthwhile investment until I know if I will stay in a town without emissions regulations.
It is never going to be a rocket to compete with a Toyota Supra, but it is a good all-around performer in it's own right- this is one of the smoothest 6-cylinder cars I have ever driven and from the factory it had very good low to midrange torque along with a smooth ride, a smooth clutch and very little wind buffetting with the top down.

I would consider running a mild nitrous setup if I could find someone that I could trust to install it correctly-if so, I would probably choose a Nitrous Express Wet kit or a Zex kit and go with a 50 shot. Those are two of the safer kits and easiest to use for a first time nitrous user without screwing something up. These motors can handle around a 75 shot just fine stock, so as long as I didn't constantly burn the stuff, I could be ok.
Heres the exterior- some of these show the OEM wheels but the
pictures are still nice
Aluminum alloy fuel door
Konig Britelite wheels- I kept them the same size to save weight.
