This is my '89 LX with the 5.0 AOD combo. It had just over 92,000 miles on it when I paid $4,800 for it at the end of April, 2007. I am the 3rd owner. The last owner only had it for a year, and put on 2,500 miles. The original owner was from Texas so there is very little rust.
The original owner left the Mac cold air intake, no-name catback exhaust, and an Accel coil on the car. In the summer of '07, I installed the headlight covers, pony decal and alpine deck. In the summer of '08 I installed the fog lights and had my tint done. At the end of June '09, I rebuilt the trac lok and installed some 4.10's in the rear. September '09 I installed a Ford Racing cap, rotor, and wires with Autolite plugs and a MAC air filter. and in October '09, I replaced all the gaskets and seals except the oil pan and rear main. I also painted the a/c comressor, accessory brackets, upper intake, and fan shroud.
My plan is to put a 351w into it that I am pulling from an f250 this summer. Matched with a built AOD. But for now, I will put a MAC off road h-pipe, and pro dump cat back on the 5.0. It also needs a new paint job, and a 2 or 3" cowl hood. I would like to get some Black and Silver Ford Racing Valve Covers and some guages like trans temp, vacuum and air to fuel ratio.
