This is my '89 LX hatch. It has the 5.0 with an aod transmission. It had just over 92,000 miles on it when I paid $4,800 for it at the end of April, 2007. I am the 3rd owner. The last owner only had it for a year, and put on 2,500 miles. The original owner was from Texas so there is very little rust.

The original owner left the Mac cold air intake, no-name catback exhaust, and an Accel coil on the car. At the end of June '09, I rebuilt the trac lok and installed some 4.10's in the rear.

My ultimate goal is to drop a 408w stroker into it. Matched with a built C4. But for now, I will build the AOD and do a H/C/I swap on the 302 to give 'er a little more get up and go. Im looking for some AFR 165cc heads, Cobra Intake, and e303 cam. For the exhaust Im looking for some Mac longtube headers, off road h-pipe, and pro dump cat back. It also needs a new paint job, new rims, and a 2" cowl hood. I would like to get some Black and Silver Ford Racing Valve Covers and some guages like trans temp, vacuum and air to fuel ratio.

Ive raced some imports that were surprisingly fast. My friend's '05 tC that beat me from a roll and was neck and neck from a dig. My brother's friend's '01 civic that was right at my fender from a dig. I beat a '72 383 Charger by like 5 cars because he didnt get much traction.
