We purchased this truck on April 24,2007. It is a 1956 Chevrolet short bed step side.
Below left getting the truck off the trailer, below right it is in the street but will not back up the drive way as the gas looks like coffee grounds. Below left got it up the drive way, right got the truck in the garage. Below left and right under the hood. Inline 235 six and lots of rust and work. Below left and right a couple photos of the old gas tank. Below left the new gas tank. Below right is sister Christi and me installing the tank. Below is two photos of the interior. Below left some fender removal, below right Mary and Christi moving the fender out of the way. Below left and right, we have the bed off the truck. Got a little bit of cleaning done on the frame under the bed. Below left break time in the pool. Below right some preliminary brake work. Going to replace the wheel cylinders, brake lines, shoes and bearings. Below is a photo of me working on the frame.

It looks to be a solid truck. I had to replace every panel on mine (building 1955 Chevy truck). Are you going for a stock rebuild? Nice truck.
