Here is my 87 ELCO. It has a 350 vortec, 200r4 trans, hooker headers, edelbrock intake, cam'd, flowmaster exhaust, and msd ignition. It rolls on Coys C-5 polished 17's up front and 18's in the rear. Not bad for a work truck.

The old paint had to go, along with the 17's. Check out the all new paint scheme due out before this Christmas.

Well the paint came better than I imagined but it was not easy. I had a lot of cracks in the old paint, found out that there was about 7 layers of bondo on each rear quarter and about 9 on the top. It took me about 3 weeks to grind it all down. It now has very little bond actually only about 1/64 on two small areas. I shoot 4 coats of primer, sanding inbetween each coat to build up the edges so they are sharp. A gallon and a half of paint (two tone) and a gallon of clear. Here are some pics at the Oceanside strand. I'll add the progress pics next week to another page and the final product when the bed gets shot.
