scatpack's 1970 Dodge CoronetThis is my 1970 Dodge Coronet R/T here in Sussex, England.?One of 2155 Coronet R/T hardtops built for 1970, it is 1 of 110 finished in Light Green Metallic (FF4) and is possibly unique in having a Ledger Green tail stripe (V8F).?I know of a couple of 1970 SuperBees coded for the green "C" stripe (V6F), but no other Bees or Coronet R/T's with the green "Bumblebee" stripe (*** see update below). Whoever ordered my car must have had a thing for green, because the interior is F8 dark green, and it should have a green vinyl roof too (V1F).?Quadruple green, in fact.
scatpack's 1970 Dodge CoronetIt was imported to the UK from Mechanicsville, near Richmond Virginia, in 1980, and spent most of the 80's in storage.?I first drove it in 1989, when it was painted orange and owned by a friend.?It was restored by another friend in 1995, and I finally got the opportunity to buy it from him in 1998. The reason I kept track of this car as it changed hands is that it is very original, and has some very nice options.
scatpack's 1970 Dodge CoronetUnlike so many musclecars, it has never been significantly modified. It still has the original 440 Magnum V8 (7.2 litres), rated at 375 hp, with a tyre frying 480 lbs ft of torque at only 3200rpm. It matches my specification for a fun-to-drive musclecar too, with the 727 Torqueflite automatic transmission, power steering, power disc brakes, Sure-Grip limited slip differential with 3.23 gears, and Rallye wheels.
scatpack's 1970 Dodge CoronetI have installed a new Legendary seat set and correct steering wheel, but the rest of the interior is mostly original. It has air conditioning, tinted windows, Rallye instrument panel with "tic-toc-tach" (combined clock and tachometer), deluxe seat belt group, woodgrain floor console and the A01 additional lighting package. I know the car's history since it came to the UK, but if you recognise this car from it's first decade in the USA (pre 1980) please contact me.
***UPDATE: A second Light Green Metallic 1970 Coronet R/T with the Ledger Green stripe was recently found in a Texas Barn. It is a twin for mine, except that it has (or had) a "Gator grain" black vinyl roof (V1G). It also needs a total restoration. Good luck Patrick!

Hey Adam, Sharp Coronet R/T!!! Nicely restored! 5 star car for sure! It has to be extremely rare in FF4 with a V8F bumblebee stripe!. I sent you a private message too. Maybe we can hook-up sometime at the Mopar NATS in Columbus.
