B18B1 Engine Build and Swap
This Page will be updated with all the progress I make on My B18B1 Engine.

This year at the anual Hagerty Insurance car show, someone that my dad knew saw my car and noticed my name on it, so he talked to my dad and told him that he had a b18 engine sitting in his garage that he wasn't using. So, we gave him a call about it later to get the price he wanted. He said $500 for the engine, LS 5 speed transmission, ECU, intake, exhaust, radiator, basically anything that he had sitting around in his garage that belonged to that engine. So, I said I'll take it.
These First pictures are just the initial pictures after getting it home in my garage.
I've got a little bit of external cleaning to do, but the engine's pretty clean on the inside.
I'm expecting this to be a relatively slow process of building, due to the fact that I'm in college, and have a very limited budget right now. The next chance I will have to work on the engine is when I will be home for 1 week at thanks giving. I plan on taking the engine apart and begin cleaning it during that time. Then I will hopefully be able to decide if I want to go with high compression or boost, and begin looking for the parts I need. As of right now, I'm not sure if i'm going to build the engine for boost, or high compression. I've kind of been wanting to aim for around 12 or 13:1 compression if i go high compression, but I'm not sure yet.
