HISTORY
I bought the celica in 2003 with a loan from my Dad. It was in good condition and I was stoked with the car and started the 'Mods' with a pioneer cd player and 6x9's.

The paint was a champaigne silver with a hint of pink. Actually looked very classy but had some doddgy repairs/ paint matches. The engine finally gave up after 270,000km of use and taking every gear out to the redline didnt help either. I sold my beloved dirt bike to pay for the rebuild, only to crash the car 2months later :( Thank God for the side intrusion bars.

I wanted to have the car back on the road as soon as possible so I went to the wreckers not long after to purchase the new panels to repair it. [More on page 2]

Whilst striping back the body for repairs I found the rust was worse than first thought [More on page 3]. I then began to think about a whole respray and maybe a colour change...

THE PROJECT
Of course like most car projects, they take a lot longer and cost alot more than you think. It took 3 years of working in my holidays to get to this stage. My dad is a spray painter and did an excelent job weilding the spray gun.

Unfortunately the head gasket didnt like sitting for years and had to be replaced. I am used to shelling out rediculous amounts of money for this car. Over $11,000AU spent already, mostly on repairs.
The paint is Ford XR6 Envy Green. Its a PPG mica -very pricey but looks very good.

The roof and pillars of the car were painted black to tie in the windows neatly and to give it that jap-drifter look.

A year after the paintjob has been finished the car is covered with scuff and chip marks. but there is nothing you can do when its a daily driver.

Before you ask, the bodykit is from fibre sports. They are located in sydney but ship worldwide. http://www.awcinfo.com/secureshop/category.php?cat_id=201
Costs $1100AU un-painted minus the rear wing

When the car is finished it also have:
- 2" Lower springs and sports shocks.
- 2.5" sports exaust with cannon muffler.
- Tinted windows.
- Good sound system. Probably pioneer head unit, splits and sub
- New tan leather interior.
- Front grill painted black and tailights smoked.
- Fog lamps to fill the lower part of the bodykit.
- Perhaps a gen2 3SGTE and a camry geabox.
