hey carl,I saw your car and think its a nice ride.my question is that in your pictures you were racing what looks like agianst the clock.i would like to take my car and do the same thing.I have a 84 rx with a sb327 and a 700r trans,and also a wide body kit on it.any info will help. i dont have any pics of my car on the site yet.email me at onemsnglnk@aol.com.oh yea i live in plant city

It's a backup spring in case the primary one fails. If the whole thing is disconnected, then it wont interfere with the operation of the carb. But if your primary spring breaks, then you will have a stuck open throttle. It's a saftey thing.

hey carl! excellent 1st gen. regaurding the backup carb return spring...i have the black shrouded spring, but the other part doesn't even have anything attached. i don't really notice a loss of power, do i even need that?

you have the best car lift and engine standever. i have two rx7 wheels and a two pices of 4x4 for jack stand.
