My love for the Trofeo began when I had first layed eyes on mine. I had begun saving my money originally for a 4th Gen Riviera since I was 14 years old. Two years later I was in the right place at the right time. My Dad's Buick Lesabre's tranny was beyond slipping (coudn't make it up a small hill), and since it was very rusty he had no choice but to get rid of it. Anyways to make a long story short, my Dad was at a local auto shop getting advice from a mechanic he knows. The mechanic offered to sell my Dad his car because he just bought a new one. My Dad wanted a newer car. I checked it out and decided it was a great buy. So I went up to the mechanic and my Dad and I said I'll buy it. It was only $1900 cash certified and e-tested. WOOOOOW! I was in love for the first time!
Later that summer tradgety struck. My Trofeo was totaled. I'd rather not explain how it happened, but I hit a Ford Windstar head on at over 110 km/h. In the collision my Trofeo was going so fast that it not only stopped the Windstar, but it went through it. According to the police report, all safety features deployed in the Windstar protecting the one occupant. My Trofeo on the other hand provided to be equally as safe without even airbags. I was also unharmed. The quote is only $10 000 to fix my Trof. Hopefully I'll have her fixed before 2009.

after checking out your page, I have to admit I loved my trofeo but dang... sometimes you just have to accept your losses. even if you did save enough to fix the car. It would never be the same, mechanically. It's a shame none the less.

wow haven't been around here in awhile. I see your trofeo shared the same fate as mine. Too bad, but there are always bigger and better things.
