1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport (Old Blue)
Update: The title to Old Blue was officially signed over to my boy (depicted throughout this site) on his graduation day, 5 June 2009. Congratulations, Kevin. Maybe you'll let me drive her on our Rubicon trip during Father's day weekend. Take care of her!

He has helped me build and trail this Jeep for the past 18 months and is now the sole driver of Old Blue. Treat her well, kid, and she'll be good to you.
Taking on the Rubicon Trail during the 2008 Jeeper's Jamboree
(I was the only crazy one to try this on 31" tires. Yeah, that's me on the right. I'm the owner, not that crazy kid you saw at the top of the page. Well...maybe next year, Kevin. Graduate from High School first before you take Old Blue.)

Nice shoes, kid. What were you thinking?
Current upgrades and comments:
Rubicon Express 3.5" Super Ride lift - Nice lift, but I need to go higher.
31 x 10.5 x 15" BFG AT/KO's - Excellent tires, but I need 33".
JCR Offroad Stage IV front bumper - Complete with 2" reciever and 3/4" d-rings and unit-body tie-in brackets, this bumper will stop a 1974 Ford Pinto in it's tracks.
Cragar Soft 8's - Nice rims. Provides the correct backspace during suspension flex and maximizes turning tradius.
Rancho RSX shocks and steering stabilizer - Good truck-like ride. Annoys the wife.
JKS Quicker adjustable swaybar disconnects - Excellent upgrade; provides greater flex. Has proven it's worth numerous times.
Rear Chrysler 8.25" Ruff Stuff Specialties diff cover - Turbo durable and still looking good after several rock hits. Complete with 3/4" drain hole and flush mounted screws. Installed on top of a Lube Locker reusable gasket.
Front Dana 35 Warrior Products diff skid - Battered and bent, but still effective. Also installed over the top of a Lube Locker gasket.
AJ's Super Rails rock rails - These have saved my Jeep from certain death. Beat and bent, but still functional and sets the XJ apart from the mall-ready bunch.
Magnaflow performance muffler - Nice resonance and beefy sound. Now 33% flattened thanks to tough trails and large rocks.
Optima Red Top battery - Always good for a charge.
Conn Ferr cargo rack - Excellent rack but noisy at high speeds. Who cares...I never trail at high speeds anyway.
Reese Class IV rear hitch - Good hitch. Serves well as a rear recovery point and for hanging off-road jewelry such as my Warn recovery loop.
OE front engine skid - Originally added to provide a home for my JKS disconnect mounting hardware, but I like the look and functionality of the engine skid in conjunction with my JCR Offroad bumper.
OE recovery hooks - Although they are not needed with my new bumper, they are nice OE recovery points and have taken several hits on the trail. I wear that rock rash proudly.
Warn transfer case skid - Like me, it has handled abuse fairly well.
Warn 1" transfer case drop - Good enough to reduce vibes for now, but I will need a SYE for a taller lift.
CB and Firestick II antenna and spring mount- Busted off my antenna mount during my last trail ride. Highly recommended antenna for the trail or everyday use, good buddy.
