This is a work in progress, of a Seven style vehicle built in the spirit of Colin Chapman's originals, but with modern updates. Right now the frame is being drawn on Solidworks 3D. Inspired by DSK, Caterham and others.

2ND SEPTEMBER 2007

Had a lot of problems getting the design engineer to draw up more tubes on Solidworks 3D. I learned that it can even simulate 'Weldments', but that's for later so I can add weld beads and weld information to the drawing. The tubes vary in diameter and thickness depending on the suspension loads fed in, accessibility and weight concerns.
2ND OCTOBER 2007

Added more tubes, steering rack mount, etc. Lots more work to do. Need to add dash hoop, engine mount support tubes, rear 'bulkhead' and centre tunnel tubes. My FRP (Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic) supplier is making a set of wings for me.
Stay tuned for more info.
