Comparing and Contrasting
Having a big v8 motor is every Americans dream but when gas comes into play a small 4 clyinder Japenese car would also be considered. Gas is a big role play right now in Americas economy because of extremely high gas prices. American vichels has been around for aslong as car have been around and they are highly respected of the power they bring out but Japenese cars have gotten the respect of having along dependable engine that would run longer than I will live.
American cars are very durable but not long lasting. You can put over 1000hp on the motor and race with it but if it goes over 100,000 miles all of that hp doesn’t mean anything because the car will break down some how. Ford has been around for over 100 years now and it is still going strong. Somehow they can never perfect there engines though. You will always need to put money on some broken part over the history of driving it.
Japanese cars have been highly known because of there reliable good engines. What makes them a plus also is the gas milage you get with them. My 4 banger Honda Accord gets about 32 miles per gallon however my dads Ford Explore gets about 17 miles to get gallon with its small block v8. Now if I had the money of course I would get the Ford Explore because of being a chick magnet but I don’t so my old Accord can get the chicks to point a to point b.
We can all agree that both of the viechels are very safe and also have the good looks. Both the Japenese and the American cars both have gotten 5 out of 5 stars because of the safety. They have extremely good airbags for the driver/passenger, middle, and the rear of the car.
Japenese cars are never the best on a race track. Yet some are farelly quick but nothing compared to the big block v8 the American cars produce. The fastest car yet produced today was an American. The Ford Mustang GT is one of the best known American car and it produces about 300hp while the Honda civic SI, the best known Japense car produces around only 160hp. The GT has the huge V8 and the SI has only the small 4 cylinder.
The reason Japenese cars are more reialbe is because the Japenese people that build the vichels take a lot of respect and time into making it. It would basically be really desrespectfull and horrible if they mess up the viechle they just made so they take time to recheck everything. They check there cars three times before putting it out there for sale. At last the Japenese mechanics, engineers, and the ordinary workers get only paid a difference of 3-5 dollars. .
On the other hand American workers and engineers are living in a horrible economy and price difference in there pay are 20-30 dollars. They don’t care about rechecking there vichels because they don’t get payed to well to. So basically it isn’t the Americans fault that they get not so reliable cars it because they don’t get payed half as much as they need to.
Being in 2009 most of the vichels are really dependable and most of them are made in the United States. So it doesn’t matter if your car is made in Japan or United States because every car you want needs to do one thing. Its to take you from point A to point B.
