As mentioned in one of my previous vehicle descriptions, I have always had a strong interest in British vehicles, having owned several MG's and Jaguar's in my life. I rescued this awesome '87 XJS from a Ford dealer in Seneca, PA, who I was visiting with and trading a Mitsubishi Eclipse for a Ford Explorer. I had seen on their web site this XJS and inquired as to its background and specifics. The dealer shared with me that they had had it for sometime and could not sell it, because people were scared of it - too exotic! We quickly negotiated a price and I took this special vehicle home along with an '02 Explorer Sport. This Jag was a one owner who kept it garaged and regularly serviced. Never smoked in, it had seen less than 50,000 miles. The V-12 is flawless and smooth and quick, mated with a 4-speed automatic that shifts effortlessly. Other than a new headliner, which the old one tended to sag, and having the brake system re-done, the car has been wonderful to own and drive. The a/c blows cold, the heat is incredible (especially from that V-12)....the exterior paint and chrome are all original and still shine, and the interior leather smells like new. What a wonderful car - can you imagine being scared of it?
