I bought this car off ebay recently and all it needed to make the 200 mile trip home was a water pump. With my poor record at selecting cars, it was a nervous ride home. LOL But after making three subsequent trips out of town to show her off, I'd drive her anywhere.
It's driven by a strong big block 390 that doesn't exhibit a dab of smoke and a smooth as silk C-6 transmission.
My friends agree that I lucked up and found a "special" car this time. :>)
I had new headliner and carpet installed several weeks ago. I also bought some embroidered "Galaxie 500" floor mats and had straight chrome tips welded onto the exhausts. There's still a long way to go but many parts for this car seem to be scarce as hen's teeth.
You can't really tell by the pix, but her paint is thin and she needs painting real soon so now I gotta start saving for that. She'll probably never be a show car but I hope to be able to restore her to head-turning condition and present her to my grandson in 3-4 years. :>)
