I purchased my 1998 4Runner Limited in May, 2007. It is a Desert Dune Metallic 4x4 and is equipped with a 3.4l V6 and factory rear locker. My goal is to build this truck as a capable off-road vehicle while maintaining is daily driver manners. The final goal is to swap out the IFS for a solid axle and turn it into a dedicated trail rig, but that is quite a ways down the road.
Here is a picture of my 4Runner on the day I bought it. It was completely stock when I got it.

First on the list was to get rid of the power antenna and amber corner lenses. I added a whip style antenna off of Toyota Tacoma and bought some clear corner lenses off of ebay.

After a while I got bored and painted my stock center caps black.

I found a good deal on some wheels off of a 05+ TRD Tacoma. Since I was in no hurry to mount them I took the time to sand them down and paint them black.

Next on the list were a Coleman safari basket, 20% tint on the front windows, and Spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers because the Tacoma wheels had a bit more backspacing than my stock wheels.

Next I added a 3" Old Man Emu suspension lift from Toytec (www.toyteclifts.com).
