Detail Day Feb. 20, 2011
Decided after the usual deglect from winter it was time to do the yearly clay bar, detail treatment. The rear bumper was damaged thanks to myself and my garage door. While the bumper was being repaired and re-painted it was a good opportunity to clean the areas usually covered as well as cleaning the tailpipes.
I cleaned the paint to remove all the old wax then began the time consuming Mothers Clay Bar treatment. I usually have to spend the most amount of time on the front bumper and the rear deck lid. Luckily since the rear bumper was fresh out of paint that was one area I didn't have to touch. I used Liquid Glass Ultimate Auto Polish/Finish for the first time and was extremely happy with the product and results. It went on really easy and was the easiest wax/polish I have ever buffed back out. I think I found my new favorite product. Other waxes have always become tacky while trying to buff off and usually need a lot of force to get all the residue off the surface. A few new pics below.
