Page 1 - The Car  UPDATE 11/2008 The trip was a great success. I have since painted on the hood stripes and installed a 3:91 Suregrip. I also re- installed my TQ carb for economy. I'm still having problems with the fuel tank venting properly so I need to take car of that and a leaky pinion seal. The car isn't going anywhere soon. I would really like to think HANK from moparts and here at cardomain for showcasing my car.  Without him it wouldn't be here. I need to spend more time on here because I just got another project car, a 61 Olds 88 2 dr sedan .

I bought the car in Sept. 01,got it running and drove it occasionally for 4 years.I knew a guy who was a body man and the stepson of a really good friend of mine, he agreed to help me do the bodywork and paint on my car. So on 12-28-05 we started on it and on 02-28-06 it rolled out of the paint booth. I can't tell you how fortunate I was to have this guy, he basically did all the welding , sanding, and painting, I did all the monkey work such as cutting, drilling, grinding,and assembly, together, we had 240 man hours in it. Fast forward to 01-07, installed rebuilt 440,Installed Classic Air AC drove to Spring Fling, decided I needed OD, installed Gear Vendors, discovered Transmission fluid was toast, R&R'ed trans and rebuilt the front end.
