Some photos from last year...
Can't have a fun vehicle without a Cars modification.

The Dakota use to be a 3.9L motor. I lowered the rear end a few years ago with 3inch blocks. I needed something to drop the front end. So a friend had an LA360 motor sitting around. Took awhile to finally get around to finishing it, but it's in and dropped almost 3 inches.
I kept the original A-500 transmission, it needed to be rebuilt though. I've kept the original rearend as well. I have the stock two piece driveshaft still in it, found a one piece aluminum out of a '90 Dakota. Will eventually put it in.
I've kept the interior as stock as possible. Most of the original gauges still work. The Oil PSI I had to get an aftermarket and I will need an aftermarket Tach. The Speedometer has to be taken out due to being electrical, but is being replaced with a manual 125mph Speedo.
I wanted to keep it stock looking on the outside, but I realised it's only cool on old school vehicles.
So I went with some Cragar Soft 8 Wheels wrapped in some Indy 500s. I had the Super Dak stripe custom made to copy the Super Bee (replacing the Bee with a Ram).
Lots more to come.
It's a nice driver for now. Hopefully to the track soon.
