I would like to thank all those who voted for my Impala for Showoff Of The Week August 4, 2008!

67ChevyRyder's 1967 Chevrolet Impala

This is my 67 Impala Fastback "Big Bertha". I got it June 2007 and took it straight to the shop. I did things backwards (wish I would have had it painted first). I first had a Firestone Air Bag System with Front and back Control ran by Nitrogen. Goes up and down in about 1.5 seconds the only down fall is you have to refill the bottle after about going all the way up and down 75 times. I then had my sound system installed. I am running 2 JL Audio W3's on a JL 1000/1 and I have a Kicker 800.4 running my highs which consist or 4 MB Quart Components in a custom Enclosure under the dash, 2 Boston 6x9 and 2 Boston 4" under the dash. I also had a Viper 2 way Remote Start Alarm system with air horns and turned my manual door locks to automatic locks by adding actuators. I then took the sound system and everything inside to have the body taken to the metal and had body work done and then painted Sunburst Orange II. The body is very close to perfect, they worked on the body for about 4 months. I decided to take off the side body molding and fill in the holes. I had the interior redone next. I went back original on the seats and door panels which I got from www.classicindustries.com. I also got all new handles, locks, rearview. I had both front and rear bumpers re-chromed and also found some rubber bumper guards in great condition which I had painted. I got all new emblems all over, with side mirror, and antenna. I replaced the headlights with supe bright Xenon lights. My air condition worked when I got the car but it had a slow leak in the system so I had the whole thing took out and replaced. It is 2 Hot in Texas not to have the A/C blowing cold and trust me now it blows cold and strong! I then stepped my game up with some 22's with matching painted inserts. I bought the car with the engine already rebuilt, I haven't done much under the hood just had a few things dressed up and installed a 160amp Chrome Alternator. Its got enough get up to hang with other muscle cars but I hardly get it up, I prefer to cruise and let people see me. The next thing to do is to go to 3 15' JL Audio W3's after that I will be working on a 71 Chevelle. I got almost all of my stuff on these websites, classic industries has almost everything for your Impala:

www.impala-parts.com
www.impalas.com

I would like to think the following shops for there help in the rebirth of Big Bertha.

Mobile One- Sound System and Alarm

Mando Drop Shop- Air Bags

Main Street Paint and Body- Paint Job

Tire and Wheel Master- Tires and Wheels
