My car is a 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass S
I thought it would be best to make a list of my cars features:
- 350 rocket engine/transmission, numbers matching, currently 65k original miles
- door handles have been shaved to help the lines of the car
- 2 1,000 watt JL amps, powering 6 Boston Acustic speakers, and 2 12" JL woofers, and a flip up clarion touch screen DVD player. All of this was custom installed by a friend at tweeter, and everything is hidden (eg: stealth speakerboxes, and the woofers are downfireing in the back of the trunk, behind the seats and are covered with the amp rack, so you can only see the amps when the trunk is open)
- Dual exhaust
- Vinal roof removed
- Replaced hood with ram-air (to be pinned down)
- Bech seat
- Exhaust blow-off valve (similar to Aston DB9), so kinda loud through the towns and really f-ing loud when you step on it
- 18 inch crager magnum rims, wanted to get crager rims to keep the original styling, but ordered them in 18" so that they still had modern appeal.

I picked up this Cutlass about four years back. It was the summer before my junior year in high school, andI found it on the side of the road while on a drive with a family friend. I made them pull over the car, and bought it the next day with some money I had saved up landscaping. It was only $6000. At the time it was vanella with black stripes, had 52,000 original miles (on a cutlass this is not much at all), and was in perfect original condition.

Through high school my aggressive driving habits made sure that my Cutlass got a couple of bumps and scratches along the way, however the worst came when a woman in an SUV talking on her cellphone drove up the back of my car during a particularly bad snowstorm.

I looked all over for somebody to restore my Cutlass, but nobody wanted to touch it, despite the damage being minimal. They all claimed that a Cutlass was too "common" for their effort, or that they were too backed up for the job. Last 2 summers ago I found the right guy. As you can see the Restoration is not totally done, but will be in about a week. The only problem with the restoration is that they misunderstood how I wanted the stripes on the trunk, and placed one large one instead of two smaller ones (this is largely because I have been studying in london for most of the build, and I have never met the mechanic besides through phone and e-mail, I even towed my car to him through the internet), this stripe issue will have to be sorted later.

** UPDATE**

This was originally posted last spring, and it had not been finished until just recently. Although, I have a hard time believing that it will ever be complete. Just got a new ralleye steering wheel, and I have to get some better headlights, as well as a few other minor touches. As I am in NH, I will not be able to drive the car until the salt is off the road (the car is being stored). Therefore I am not going to be able to take any more pictures until then.
Anyway, I appreciate all of the positive feedback I have been getting, and I will make my best efforts to keep this updated as of spring. let me know what you think, and I am always listening to suggestions.

Oh, and the striping on the trunk has been fixed.
