Even with all these mods, I can still get 30MPG highway on the 87 octane 'stock' tune, at 70+ MPH average, with the A/C on ... put that in your hybrid & smoke it. I'd rather put my money in the bank than in the tank.
This car's overall performance, handling, braking, noise, vibration, ride harshess is far better than any of the previous Mustang, Capri or T-Bird's that I've owned/modified. I've done a couple bull-runs over 1,200 miles (in a single day) without feeling like I was beaten up the following morning. Having a Garmin helps, too. ;)
Future performance upgrades:
? HD Clutch (purchased, not yet installed)
? True-dual exhaust (still choosing between Pypes w. turn-down tips & GT take-offs w. straight tips)
? Intake spacer (not sure if it's worth the labor/time to install for a small performance gain)
? Flash/dyno tune (giving up the cheaper 87 octane for a few more ponies)
? Gears (probably 3.73, 4.10 is too high for in-town, daily-driver mileage)

Future suspension upgrades:
? Subframe connectors/jacking rails (stiffen the suspension & easier to jack up a lowered car)
? Rear UCA/LCA (and/or possibly panhard bar, if I get serious)
? Tubular K-member, or K-brace (again, only if I get serious)

Future appearance upgrades:
? Black projector headlamps (probably with the 'halo', I like the look)

My 'Stang still has less than 60k original miles!
