1977 Chevrolet Camaro Type LT
I have created a CarDomain Group where enthusiasts can share their love for hot rods, classic and muscle cars. Share photos, links, ask questions or create general chatter in the forum, find others interested in buying or selling classic autos or parts, and so on. It's a public group, anyone may join and most of all have fun!
This was the first car I've ever bought. It's a rolling chassis with an excellent body. I searched and searched for a classic car to buy, but it seemed I just couldn't find one. The previous owner lived just outside of town and had it sitting in his yard. He had it brought from Toronto and after driving it for a while removed the engine and transmission and left it idle. My father has a 1975 Camaro that he's had since 1982, so he has a soft-spot for second-generation Camaros. I had the car for a day or two before I learned of a Mach 1 Mustang for sale from a co-worker. In short, I ended up with two new cars and ended up focusing my attention on the Mustang. It has sat idle (again) ever since I bought it, but my dad has since bought it from me and plans on installing a 350-ci.
The car is in incredible condition. There has never been any rust, and it onyl has a small scratch on the drivers side rear-quarter panel. It also needs a new hood - which I have (it currently has a fiberglass L-88 cowl on a steel hood which isn't holding together too well.) Otherwise the body and paint are in excellent condition.
It is also an incredibly loaded car. It has factory air-conditioning, cruise-control and power windows. The car originally came with a 305-ci and an automatic transmission.
