This is my 89 Camao Iroc-Z that came from florida. It had the 350 tpi and rear disc option and originally had the 9 bolt borg warner rear posi which I updated to a 7.625" 3.42 torsen posi from a 02 ss. I've recently aquired collector plates which has allowed me to do some interesting things with the exhaust, those pics and more are on following pages. I do not know drag strip figures as I just did Alot of work this winter so we will find out in another month.
I have done almost every bolt on and free mod I could find. The intake has k&n filters with a custom ram air intake ($15 at home depot) flowing to a 58mm throttle body into a ported tpi. I have removed the cat, smog pump, ac, and put a power and amp series underdrive pulley set on. There are 24# an hr accel injectors, BBK adj.pressure regulator. I have a 300+ digital cd box from accel, custom ground shorty accel plugs, accel cap, rotor, high output coil, and pro race 25 wires. I've bypassed the coolant from the throttle body, shut the egr valve off, and installed a heated o2 sensor in place of the one wire. I updated the rear shocks to KYB GR-2 and plan on putting a set of 255/50/16 mickey tompson et streets on the rear this summer. The 700R4 is anything but stock. It has been professional built to handle up to 650hp, has a manual/auto valve body and gives shifts that break necks. I also have a 1750w stereo system. There are 2 sony explode 12"s with a 1000w amp, and 2 sony 4 way 6x9"s with a jensen 750w amp.
The exhaust is where it gets fun, I've traded my shorty headers for a pair of headman long tube headers and dumped them straight to a set of purple horny 2 1/4" mufflers. I'll try and get a video clip up sometime as the sound is incredible to say the least.
