1998 Trans Am, The beginning.
In Jan. of 2000, I purchased my TA with 8900 miles, and the mods soon began.

The first thing was the Suncoast Creations WS6 hood with functional air box. Then some black paint on the roof bar and rear bumper. And then the serious stuff.
Step 1- Hooker long tube headers with 2.5" true dual exhaust, Strange 3.73 gears in the stock (pos) 10 bolt rear end, and a Yank Ind. SY 4000 stall converter.
Step 2- Ported and polished throttle body, LS6 intake manifold, Asp underdrive crank pulley, and MSD 8.5 spark plug wires.
Step 3- Dart Pro LS1 225 cc heads with 2.02/ 1.60 valves, Texas Speed and Performance 233/239-598/603 camshaft, TSP tuning.
Step 4- Out with the stock rear end and in with a Moser 12 bolt with 3.73 gears, 33 spline axles.and Detriot tru track differential,UMI subframe connectors, reinforced lower control arms, rienforced panhard bar.
Step 5- Out with the 2.5 exhaust and in with a 3" true dual setup with cutouts, AEM wideband o2 sensor, and Nitto drag radials.

And last mod so far is a Vizage body kit. More mods to come as time and $$$ allow.
Thought I would add some pics of under the hood, and some of the exhaust.

A pic of test black paint of the openings of the gfx.
On Aug. 18, a small town 50 miles away had a car show and 1/8 mile drag races. This is held at a small airport, so the track is an airplane taxiway. There is no track prep, no vht, no traction additive at all.
There was over 100 cars in the show , and over 50 cars racing, we had everthing from a 06 Focus SVT to a few 10 sec. pro street. If you want to race someone you just ask grudge match style. It was a fun way to spend a Saturday. Below are a few pictures. Enjoy.

My first race was against an older Dodge pickup with a 455 Olds motor that was lightly worked over.
My 8.3@86 to his 10.5@68. Thats one.
Second race was against a 1974 Cuda 440 mostly stock auto.
My 8.3@85 to his 9.2@80. Thats two.
Third and final was against a 1972 Vette with a fuel injected 427 not sure on mods.
My 8.1@85 to her 10.3@60. That makes three.
On Aug. 16, we had our yearly car show and drag races. I didn't get any pics but I did race.
Race 1- 97 Mustang Cobra with a procharger. He stalled on the line, easy win.
Race 2- 98 Camaro with a cam, my 8.2 @ 87 to her 10.0 @ 80.
Race 3- Subaru WRX STI with a lotof mods, my 8.2 @ 86 to his9.1 @ 77.
Race 4- 67 GTO with a worked over 455 and slicks, my 8.2 @ 86 to his 8.7 @73.
Videos can be seen at http://video.cardomain.com/Hwystarta Hope it works.
A pic from the Malta Mt. races on Sept 20, 2009. Best time- 8.05@88.58 mph.
Well, this year I replaced the Yank PT 4000 stall converter for a Yank SS 4000. It's a harder hitting stall, for off the line. Also added UMI lower control arms, panhard bar, and torque arm, to make it hook up better. Even repainted my license plate cover, for a change of pace.
