Project is winding down as I'm headed back to Iraq. Work will resume in a year or two.
In the beginning, there was a basket case... (this image was actually AFTER a steam cleaning of the engine bay!) A clean & detailed 350 engine is a happy engine, but still to be removed and replaced by a 383 Stroker
Awaiting the new brake system
I bought this car on-line, while surfing the internet from Iraq, with only photos from the dealer to indicate its condition. As expected, when I got home from Iraq, it was in worse shape than it looked in the pix. My 1st steps are to make it safe, reliable & fun to drive again, then I'll look into a body-off restoration.
Well darn, the frame is shot, so I'm currently doing a body-off restro on it. The whole vehicle was in much worse shape than I was lead to believe. The diff was dry, the floor pans rusted and neglect was rampant. It will live again! Already, I've spent over $8000 in new parts. Next spring, it will be ready for the road, but for now, it's spread all over my garage.

I will be at the shell in colorado springs n. academy wednsday, 25 Nov at 9:45pm to show all you kids up with your match box/"muscle" cars.
Great work, i like the idea of the 383 swap. Check out my page i have a slightly modified l-48 and dont know which way i should go with it. Five Stars!
Thats a lobor of love. Looks like it will be absolutely beautiful when done.
Thanks for checkin out my vette. The hood won't fit with my intake choice, ran it all summer without. Even with the 40 series Flowmasters, the cops didn't mind...
