The story of Steve and Kathys search for a thunderbird

We will start and tell you the story of finding our car.The search began inDecember 2006 and finally we found our car in May 2007.We started looking here in Australia but after travelling to different states and emailing everwhere ,we finally bought a car from South Carolina USA.This convertible has been rebuilt from the ground up ,with good attention to detail.It has the roadster pack ,white leather interior ,electric seats,windows etc.
They are rare to find in Australia . We looked everywhere but convertibles are not easy to find.Our car will be arriving in late June or early July ,as it takes approx 6 weeks to arrive from the states.Stay tuned for more photos and ride details as things unfold. We will included the process to buying ,shipping,transport etc , its great fun.  We have finally taken possession of her  .She is great getting import approval and shipping etc all went well thanks to a good friend in Peter Reed her in Australia. We got her inspected and registered and now can go cruising

 June 2009   Am doing some wor k on her at the moment , new wire spoked wheels alll chrome, new upper and lower ball joints ,radial arm rubbers ,new exhaust ,has a bit of rust to cut out , new suspension ,so will be busy July 2009 have had some work done ,just keeping up with spending money is the hard part.Ball joints ,radial rubbers,exhaust finished.September 2009 getting new seat belts , retainers for roadster top and spot lights
