Saab's special version of the 9-3 is called Viggen. Saab wanted to build an exclusive car for the real enthusiasts and they wanted it to have something from Saab history especially from the aircraft history. So they named it Viggen after the Saab JA 37 Viggen Swedish fighter's delta wings. The Viggen was built in limited numbers from 1999 to 2002 and the Monte Carlo Yellow model you see here is the rarest of the breed. Estimates indicate that about 3000 viggens were built in total and only 68 of them were MYC.
The Viggen's coach work and chassis were developed by British Racing legend Tom Wakinshaw through his tuning house TWR . The exterior differs from the base 9-3 in that the 9-3 Viggen has special color and a large spoiler at the back and at the front and shields on the side. Note the Viggen was only available in Lightning Blue, Monte Carlo Yellow, Black, Steel Grey, Red and Silver. as a 5-door, Coupe and convertible. Special 17 inch Alu-wheels are standard as well as all the 9-3 standard equipment plus an exclusive two tone matching fulsport leather interior. Spoilers and side skirts have little to do with decoration; they are carefully shaped to reduce lift forces and drag. 2.3 litre Turbo engine delivers 230 hp giving a top speed limited to 155 mph
My Viggen benefits from Genuine Saabs 6pt frame brace, steering rack brace, cold air intake & ARB. Additionally black 18" DIP D65 Ninja w/Dunlop 225 40 18 rubber. More mods definitely are expected in the near future.

Just wanted to confirm I have another Monte Carlo Yellow Viggen Convertible in Phoenix, Arizona. I will post picures later but it is in cherry condition with the exception of the front bottom of bumper that needs to be touched up from parking lot cement pads.
