Build up for the subwoofer / amp rack.
The cargo area is pretty big.
The cargo tray drops into the spare tire rim.
The new box uses this space for the subwoofer enclosure.
The box is only 5 inches in total height. The subwoofer cavity will go into the tire well by 7 inches.
The total airspace for the subwoofer is 1.5 cube.
Stretched the fleece today for the sub box.
6 layers of fiberglass mat and resin and a coat of black pain to finish it off. It looks like a hockey puck.
I cut out the amp window, added the woofer mounting ring and sealed the panels together.
Carpeted the box. The stock carpet looks dull compared to the new black carpet.
Amplifier and sub woofer wired and mounted to the sub box / amp rack.
