I got a 1989 Firebird Trans Am. So far it's all stock with a set of headers and flowmaster. Got a 305 TPI with 700r4 trans and 2.73 posi. Includes ws6 suspension package. Added a set of subframe connectors so the body would not twist when different motor goes in.

Sweet ride bro, check mine out. Anyway as far as a motor goes, if you have the money and want to keep the car a while, the ls1 is your best bet but for half the green you can get 383 stroker and use all the 305's externals including the tpi setup if you buy the larger 350 injectors, it will take you a weekend to do the swap and most of the 383 kits start you off at around 425 HP.........peace
