I owned this 1968 Mini Cooper previous to my Datsun. I had done a LOT of work on this car, engine, brakes, tires, seats... but the body was quite rotten and at the time I could not afford a full restoration. So I sold the car and got the body and paint work done on my 510. I miss this car a lot. It was very very quick and handled like NO other car I've ever driven.
This is how my Datsun looked when I first got it. It was slammed on the ground with cut springs and different steel wheels. There were dents on every panel and the front right and rear left panels were pushed in. There was no interior and the stock seats were SHOT. Oh and the tubes from the filler to the gas tank leaked when you took a hard turn (thanks for suffering through that to get her home Dad).
Body and paint thanks to selling the mini.
Huge thanks to Brian Montez for all the help.
My aunt and uncle let me use their garage for a week to put it together.
The Craiger 4 spokes got ditched for the Minilites.
