I'm very excited about fixing it up and making it look good!! I want to do alot of stuff to it but with little money its gonna take awhile, but hopefully I'll eventually get it together. I'd love to hear from you all to help me get started on this CJ-5, because I'm NEW to the whole JEEP thing and would really like sum tips so if you would just drop by and leave me a message. I'm 17 and I got a 1980 CJ5 in October of '05. It was in about the same condition as yours when I got it and I am almost done restoring it from the ground up. I painted everything myself in my garage and have bought all kinds of new parts. I have bought from jc whitney, but 4wd.com has been better for me for my jeep parts. Also 4wheelonline.com was the best I found for lift kits. Keep up the good work, it'll pay off and look great.

jc whitney has been a god send when i needed an afordable top for the first few years that mine was roadworthy i think i spent like $150 for the whole thing doors and all. but if you need soft door frames i have a good set with handles that i picked up at a swap meet if you nned them let me know and ill hook you up
