So my friend and I used to joke about this MR2 that was parked down the street from his house. It was a real wreck we thought mabye it was supercharged and we could steal the engine and put it in his SR5 Corolla, we were only 17. 3 years later i got married and my wife was talking about a car she wanted called a delsol. I was like ew front wheel drive so I told her about the MR2's being similar in design but rear engine mount. and one day on her way to work she sees that same MR2 that was a wreck and said it was for sale. I told her if she wanted it i would by if for her. The hood was folded up, the window was smashed in, three flat tires, no front bumber or valence, no side skirts, lots of ciggarette ashes, on and on the list went. $1,500 bucks in the hole. Here you can see the crunched windshield and the old stereo unit on the bottom left. Here im trying to freshen up the vynl interior with some armor all. ended up looking good.

Nice little project, funny enough something similar happened to me with my girl. I had my 87 and we went to a national MR2 car show and when we get back she wants this blue SC 88. Long story short, now we have 3 of them. If you need any parts let me know because I have an 85 that I'm parting out. Keep up the good work.

Hey nick, bet you never thought you would be fixin' up the car you always joked about,hunh!? I think you made the right decision rather than letting your wife get the DEL SOLE!!! Look forward to seeing your progress on it. Check out mine and let me know what you think...fixing up an MR2 is also my current project!4agerollacoasta

hey man looks like a fun lil project! if i had the car the first thing i would do is jus get in garaged and then clean the whole interior. After that i would start hittin the exterior. Gettin all the moding and skirts n bumpers on and a new hood n some new windows. Then set it up on a niice pair of shoes, do all the body work like sainding priming and filling then get it a niice paint job. Then go from there! im sure u got it all under control but looks like an awesome project! i wish i had it to tell u the truth!
