May 18, 2007 I purchased a 1978 Silver Anniversay Edition Corvette. for $5000

Because the car was not running, I needed to tow it home.
___________Getting a Lift______________________________Home Sweet Home___________

A previous theft attempt left the car with a broken Steering column. I purchased an replacement column. It was from a corvette with a blue interior. I spent an evening sanding down the column. Then I painted it GM Interior Satin Black.

I also sanded my original adapter ring and locking ring for the telescopic steering. I also needed to fish a wire for the factory cruise control not intalled on the donor column. I got a little "help" from my son. I put it all together (around the stereo wiring) You can see the results below.

I spent an hour on the motor getting it is up and running and another day washing the car and polishing the rims. It seems to have turned out OK. I will be working on it more this winter... but I have a solid car to work with.

July 2008 Sold for $9500
