UPDATE 10/05/09: Back from an AWESOME trip of wheeling in North, GA near Amicalola state park. lots of rocks, v-ditches, some mud. I did manage to destroy my rear bumper due to my own carelessness, no big deal, i will replace with a steel aftermarket bumper.
UPDATE 10/01/09: Recieved and installed my Tom Woods Front DS on 09/29. it is 10x beefier than the stock shaft. Hit 51k miles. Headed out to Amicalola, GA for some wheeling and camping this weekend. pics will be posted after the trip.
UPDATE 09/22/09: Just ordered my new Tom Woods Front Driveshaft.
UPDATE 08/29/09: Installed the freshly painted Disco 1 spring seats on my rover today, gained a little more than 1/2" of lift if the rear. the truck is almost "level".
UPDATE 08/28/09- Just got a set of Discovery 1 rear spring seats in the mail. I repainted them and they will be installed on my rover tomorrow. they should add about 1/2 an inch to the rear of the truck, giving it a more "level" look.
UPDATE 08/22/09- HUGE update. Oil changed at 49k miles. hit 50k miles on thursday. and finally installed my 2" RTE/OME lift kit, mounted 285/60/18 Toyo Open Country A/T tires, flipped/notched the spare tire carrier, and had some fun out in the woods. the truck is riding amazing, i can't wait to get on a decent trail for once!
UPDATE 07/17/09: Got stuck in some sand a Disco on 33s with a 2" lift and a FJ80 on 35s (my buddies) came to pull me out since I was sitting on the diffs.
UPDATE 07/09/09: RR1-2 rear RTE 2" HD lift springs and 1/4" spring isolators came in the mail! won't be another month or so til the install (At least), but i can wait!
UPDATE 07/07/09: Ordered a set of 2" RTE rear lift springs from a guy yesterday, should be buying the front springs and 4 shocks fairly soon!
UPDATE 06/28/09: Hit 47,000 miles yesterday. Still leaking coolant, cross your fingers and hope its not an HG job on the horizon!
UPDATE 06/19/09: New factory spark plugs, 7mm Magnecor Plug wires, and new water pump! The rover is running so smooth!
UPDATE 06/17/09: Truck should be back tomorrow with fresh plugs, new magnacore 8mm wires and a new water pump!
UPDATE 06/15/09: Well I sadly must annouce that my rover began misfiring in Cylinder 2 yesterday. Throwing a PO302: Cyl 2 Misfire detected code. I suspect its plugs, plug wires and/or coil pack related, but due to not having a covered area to work on I must take the car to the shop to be fixed while I attend classes and work. So lets hope this issue gets solved quickly without breaking the bank. I will probably end up replacing the plugs with new factory plugs, the plug wires with magnacor wires.
UPDATE 06/13/09: The new REAL italian leather shift boots came in from the UK. I installed them in about 20minutes and they turned out GREAT. What a difference such a small thing can make on cleaning up the look of the interior. Pics above.
UPDATE 06/06/09: I just ordered some new real italian leather custom shift boots for my e-brake handle and t-case shifter to replace my tattered factory ones. I also put a nice little cut in the sidewall of one of my rear tires yesterday when playing around on some power line trails.
UPDATE 06/04/09: I may have found a set of used 2" RTE HD springs for my lift, cross your fingers, hopefully i'll have all the parts needed by the end of summer. I also ran a can of seafoam through my vaccuum line today...oh boy did she smoke for a little bit! haha
UPDATE 05/28/09- Hit 46k miles and took some new pics of the truck with the hellas installed.
UPDATE 05/27/09- Well the 5 Hellas are mounted thanks to some handy work at Auburn Offroad (my schedule was swamped and lack of power tools prevented me from doing it myself). Also Justin (from Lucky8llc.com) sent me my Lucky8 Offroad decals as well!
UPDATE 05/21/09- Just picked up my 4 Hella FF300s and Hella Work lamp. Lights are being installed tuesday at Auburn Offroad while i'm in class. i woulda installed them myself but i didnt have any reliable source for borrowing power tools or a helping hand to get the job done. pics will be up on tuesday night or weds.
UPDATE 05/19/09- Hit 45k miles yesterday, back in yesterday
UPDATE 05/16/09- Got my QT rear Diff Guard and QT mud plugs in the mail today. I installed them shortly after. I also had a friend purchase 4 Hella FF300s, and a Hella Work light for my roof rack. I should get them in a few days. Mods are coming along really fast this month!
UPDATE 05/13/09- Just got the car out of the shop, Oil changed, new belt, new rear brakes, a fixed airbox, and the discovery of a leak on the rear axle driver side. On a good note, i got my front Rover's North differential guard in the mail today and had it welded on! Pics of the diff guard and from shenanigans the other night.

UPDATE 05/11/09: Finished drilling drain holes in the U channels of each rock sliders, also purchased another maglight mount and mounted the flashlight under the front driverseat. I also repainted the rock sliders yesterday. Car is going in for service tomorrow (standard fluids/lubricants/filters/belt). Just ordered QT rear diff guard and QT mud plugs from Justin at Lucky8. great shop! www.lucky8llc.com
Pic update from the past few days:
UPDATE 05/09/09- Installed the heated seat activation kit, also purchased a battery powered, handheld Cobra 38WXST CB radio for next to nothing from a friend, which will do the job until i get a full CB setup. also hit 44k on the ride home and ordered a Rovers north front diff guard from another rover driver from cardomain. i will have it tack welded on once it comes in the mail.
UPDATE 05/07/09- Driving back to FL tomorrow, heated seat activation kit arrived at my FL address. Also blew a fuse to my windshield wipers today while speeding around baja-prerunner style in the backroads.
UPDATE 05/03/09- Ordered Heated seat switches and trim bezel off of a 2000 D2, hopefully the switches will work, i know there is a slight cosmetic difference between the 03/04s switches. heated seats here we come!
UPDATE 05/02/09- Well i got my Landroversonly.com decals in the mail today, put them on the truck. Also went out to tuskegee last night with another disco 2 (with a safarigard front end, 3 hellas, 5 HIDs, and A/T tires). I ended up coming home with a long scratch down my driverside rear door and 3 rock chips in my windshield. Also put a can of seafoam into my gas tank today to burn off some carbon build up on the way back to florida later this week.
UPDATE 05/01/09- Well its my 20th Birthday today, i'm bored. i managed to find some metric nut caps that fit my roof rack so i painted the black and covered the bare bolts on my hannibal!
UPDATE 04/26/09: Well when we installed the sliders we noticed the rubber coupling between the rear DS and the rear diff was cracking pretty bad. it was still drivable but in order to prevent failure while driving we swapped it out today with a newer one. you can see the cracks in the older one and the newer one without cracks above.
UPDATE 04/24/09- Just finished installing some custom rock sliders (used) off my buddy's truck. He welded them himself, and will be making more. pics of the sliders and install.
UPDATE 04/20/09- the 3 Amigos T-shirt came in today! I've also designed some euro tuner trash t-shirts! http://www.cafepress.com/EuroTunerTrash
http://video.cardomain.com/clip.aspx?key=7D5C9DF9730CE004
http://video.cardomain.com/clip.aspx?key=1E964F86169BEE90
UPDATE 04/19/09- Quite an exciting weekend! 3 vehicle recoveries in under 18 hours? 1. Ford Bronco 2. Mitsubishi Galat 3. Nissan Xterra between my buddy's rover and my own. Here are the videos. BTW- The Bronco SLAMS into a tree because the driver was a dumbass and floored it in reverse as I towed him. I told him to stay in neutral..but brains don't function when rednecks are drunk (I was sober, the driver of the bronco was drunk lol). I also hit 43k miles :(
UPDATE 04/14/09- My Three Amigos Tshirt is finally designed and complete! It took me 2 days to decide on what exactly I wanted so I made it. now on sale!! http://www.cafepress.com/stolenheron

UPDATE 04/11/09- Met up with some rover guys from Landroversonly.com for dinner in GA tonite and took some pics of the trucks after our beer and burgers.
UPDATE 04/03/09: Went back out to the woods today, had some fun when I decided to pull a K-turn in a ditch haha.
UPDATE 04/01/09: Went out to Tuskegee today, got some cool shots in the swamp and had some fun where the road washed out.
UPDATE 03/28/09: Hit 42k miles last night, that 45k mark is coming up fast!
UPDATE 03/23/09: Fixed my rough idle problem, plug wire was loose, just not enough to throw a code. I put in a can of seafoam again today just to clean the motor when its running smooth again.
UPDATE 03/22/09: These pics are from March 19. Drove the rover back to Alabama today.
UPDATE 03/18/09: Got some nice night shots of the rover and pics from the FMR meet.
UPDATE 03/17/09: Repainted the latches black, and repainted all my shackles black as well since i had the rattle can out. I also capped off one my exhaust hangers with a rubber hose cap from discount auto, the damn thing was touching metal so it rattled on cold start ups when the gaskets didnt expand yet.
http://video.cardomain.com/clip.aspx?key=8168A4EBFBE00A39
UPDATE 03/16/09: Scotchguarded the boxes today, still waiting to paint the latches black. Also got a video of my buddy drifting his 240....video link above
UPDATE 03/15/09: Back in florida, hit 40k miles. Did a trip down to the everglades today, the rover will be in the shop tomorrow for minor fluid changes and a check up. Also we spent 8 hours making custom canvas/felt wrapped cargo boxes for the rear of the truck. pics of the build up are above.
UPDATE 03/03/09: made appointments to get the truck serviced by Hunt Automotive for standard fluid changes and a tune up on 3/16. Also through a can of seafoam and a fresh tank of gas in the rover today, hopefully that'll clean up the motor a bit
UPDATE 03/01/09: IT SNOWED!

UPDATE 02/28/09: the severe weather in alabama today caused parts of Tuskegee national forest to flood. Took the rover out to the flood waters for some pics and just to watch the chaos. more and more people showed up, we ended up tubing down the creek and then offroading with a jeep, 4runner, and blazer. I also stalled my rover when some water caused a short in a 6" deep puddle, pathetic, but everything is perfectly fine now.
UPDATE 02/16/09: Well my right rear tire died on me today, old shotty patchwork led to a pretty bad leak. Ordered a new michelin today, will be installed tomorrow...so i'm rolling around without a 5th rim and driving on a crappy goodyear wrangler.
UPDATE 01/31/09: The disco hit 39k miles yesterday :(
UPDATE 01/26/09: Ran over to autozone this afternoon, picked up a pair of H7 Sylvania Silverstar Ultras. Hopefully they will be a bit brighter than the factory bulbs (they will probably burn out quicker though, that seems to be the trend with these bulbs). Bulb replacement for both lights took roughly 10 minutes total, i took pictures and cleaned all the mud out of the area behind the grille and behind the headlights. Also took a peek inside of my fenders, i must have 5lbs of dirt/mud in each one haha. I will take some night shots of the new light output later when its dark outside.
UPDATE 01/25/09: Passenger side low beam went otu tonite, i'll be headed to autozone tomorrow to pick up a pair of H7 bulbs to replace them.
UPDATE 01/04/09: Installed a 3D cell maglite in the back last week, installed a new Orvis rear canvas seat cover and got 2nd place in another car show! 2nd place in 2001+ Stock Truck class at fort myers toyota!! more pics on page 4!
UPDATE 07/07/08: Went offroading at Cook and Brown with FMR's Offroad Crew. Trail Damage = I ran my battery dead and my buddy's F150's front fender ate a tree.
UPDATE 06/30/08: Went to Land Rover of Fort Myers today and ordered a new headliner and gas cap for warranty replacement. the 99% humidity and 95 degree heat cranking out by the florida sun has made my headliner start to sag over the passenger and driver sides. thank god for a warranty
UPDATE 06/29/08: Entered the rover into Sun Sports Pre-4th of July 4x4 Truck show. I didn't win best interior like I had hoped, but my buddy in his Cherokee got 2nd place dirtiest. here are a few pics with about 30 more on page 4. I also went over to my buddy's house in lehigh where we masked off his jeep's side gold molding to paint it black to match the car. we also got it airborne on the asphault and took pics of my rover on some ramps showing off a bit of flex
UPDATE 05/22/08: FMR STICKERS!
UPDATE 05/19/08: Wrangled a cow today who was in traffic with the Land rover. Called sheriff's dept and with the help of a few deputies, my truck, and an F250 patrol vehicle we got it back into the fence. I also installed my upper taillight guards and will install the lower ones tomorrow.
UPDATE 05/13/08: I also got the car back from 30k service got its coolant, tranny, and brake fluids swapped. also got my spark plugs wires replaced under warranty, new wiper blades.
UPDATE 05/10/08: FMR meet last night, we took out a tree with a 240...check the video. Also put in half a can of seafoam into my gas tank today.
UPDATE 05/10/08: Drove to Lehigh Acres for some mudding today. got a bit intense, but i never got stuck and the car took it like a champ. I was a bit nervous with all the mud in my engine bay, but i cleaned the majority of it out with a combo of a light mist from a hose, rags, a shop vac, and an air compressor gun. the car is sparkling clean once again.
UPDATE 05/08/08: I went out today to a local sugar sand pit and had some fun with a friend. he was driving his little brother's 2wd Mazda B3000. we got it stuck and unstuck in about 30 seconds thanks to my car lol
UPDATE 04/19/08: Went on a little dirt road I found today near campus, and found a little 200ft cut back into the woods, was a bit fun just because of the rain last night, but nothing special. Snapped a few pictures, the spring greener made a background I just couldn't resist. However, I noticed my tires acted like drag slicks in the damn wet ground and I did scrap off all the zipties which held my HID wiring and ballasts in place, so I had to redo all of the anchoring points for my foglights.
UPDATE 03/29/08: Went to the www.VintageVW.Net swap meet in montgomery AL today. I bought a new tshirt, a plug in flood light, a foglight, and a war eagle sign for $27 total. there were alot of badass euros and VWs. here are some pics, the rest of the pics are on page 4.
UPDATE 03/25/08:
video of the dyno day...i didn't include the lightning (sorry)
MORE PICS ON PAGE 4
^gayest dyno sheet ever haha...what an odd outcome compared to my old mustang
UPDATE 03/22/08: Last Day in FLA, I leave for AL tomorrow. FMR meet tonite. anyway we had a Dyno Day at Harbor Nissan in Punta Gorda. Everyone was dissappointed with their numbers i pulled 155hp and 213ft/lbs which is bullshit i should be getting about 20-30 more ponies and around 20-30more ft/lbs. fucking 4WD eats that power up from the engine....i need boost :)
UPDATE 03/19/08: got back together with FMR last night, we ended up taking a rediculous cruise night. there is the video
UPDATE 03/18/08: installed the exhaust today. doesn't sound much louder than stock, but its a much deeper note, and the car feels a little less restricted with the lack of resonator and new magnaflow muffler. we reused the factory downward facing tip and welded it to the straight pipe (where the resonator used to be). The tip is clear of the bumper, but its a little bit higher and shorter than before for clearance purposes. i will post some videos of the sound later. I wish it was a bit louder, but its a classy performance sound like a rover should rather than a straight-piped chevy silverado.
UPDATE 03/01/08: I had the oil changed to Mobil 1 today.
UPDATE 02/22/08: My Atl. British Trailer Wiring Harness came in and I installed it in under 5 minutes. I popped my headlight off, took off a cap, plugged in the harness, ziptied the wires, and put the light back on DONE. But before I did that I went out to Tuskeegee National Forest and played around in a recently washed out bridge thanks to the pounding rains of this week.
UPDATE 01/19/08: Well happy new year. I'm back in Alabama. Nothing really new on the car, had some starter issues last week that seemed to go away. Today the car got its first taste of snow. it wasn't much, but it still made the day fun.
UPDATE 12/27/07: I bought a dynamat license plate kit, took away some of the rattle from the (newly warranty replaced) factory rear speakers. definetly an improvement. Pictures above of the new manifold, new ladder, and dynamated license plate.
UPDATE 12/26/07: Rear Ladder and new right side exhaust manifold was installed today! pics will be up soon!
here are 6 pics from yesterday, 29 more pics are on page 4.
IGOR DRIFTING THE 240!
UPDATE 12/23/07: Went to the Florida Car Club Annual Meet in Naples today with FMR. I got tons of pics, but I ended up running into the new owner (who i have never met due to the car was sold on a trade in) of my 2005 Mustang V6. I took pictures of the stang, the new owner, Brandon, took me for a spin and he has some big plans for it. I really happy it found a good home. Anyone, we out tonite with FMR. We had some drifting going on when the cops came and busted us up...but anyway, I got some good footage of Igor in his new S14 240. I'll have a new vid and pics up tomorrow!!

UPDATE 12/21/07: Suprise! the dealership didn't have the parts yet. But I did finish the video (As seen below) and I also bought 2 huge shackles from Northern Tool Co. The new shackles fit right in where the Warn reciever shackle was. Now I can more easily put my straps on and off as well as make it easier on towing other vehicles. Also, the pictures of the Riminy Red LR3 is my dad's new car. So now my family owns 2 Acuras (2003 MDX, 2007 RDX) and 2 Rovers (2004 D2, 2006 LR3).
UPDATE 12/17/07: Dropped the car off for service, ordered a rear ladder. We put side moldings on my dad's new LR3 and we're picking it up in a few hours. I made a video of the land rover offroad day.
UPDATE 10/16/07: My dad just bought a 2006 LR3 so now we have to Landies in the family. Anyway, FM Imports had an offroading event today (the local Land Rover Dealership), we went out with 3 LR3s, 3 Disco 1s, My disco 2, and a P38 Range. It was pretty basic stuff until we got to this one mud hole, where it got really deep. The Disco 1 behind me got stuck almost instantly...i went through the same home on 4wd Hi with the center differential lock engaged.
YESTERDAY'S OFFROADING!

UPDATE 12/15/07: I went offroading today with a lifted TJ and a VW GLI (he just spun around in the dirt)...i got pics but on a high end nikon which are too big to upload on cardomain. tomorrow i am going wheeling with the Land Rover Dealership, should get some good pics then too. I also noticed a small whistle when i hit the throttle on the rover, i popped the hood and saw a chunk of metal missing from my passenger side exhaust manifold... I'll also be ordering a ladder on monday.
UPDATE 12/14/07: Roof rack is installed...
UPDATE 11/28/07: GREAT NEWS. 1. the roof rack has arrived in Fort Myers, and will be dropped off at my doorstep either tomorrow or friday. 2. Hannibal told me in an email i can safely (if even distributed) put up to 350kg (771lbs) on top of my roof rack 3. I will be coming home to florida 2 days earlier than expected. So I will be home December 13th and that will be when the roof rack gets installed!
HANNIBAL ROOF RACK (ORDERED 11/26/07...will not be installed until December 13th)
UPDAE 11/13/07: made a compilation video of the car show (it will be on page 1, page 2 and page 4)
UPDATE 11/11/07: FIRST PLACE AT IMPORT FACEOFF FOR IMPORT TRUCK AND SUV CLASS!!!! long day of watching races and polishing the rover turned out to be a blast. i got a great trophy, took 2 Gigabytes worth of pics and had fun. PAGE 4 has a few dozen pics. check it out!!!
UPDATE 11/10/07: Yesterday got my oil changed. Today I detailed the car (inside, out, under hood). Taped up the front end with painters tape so I'm ready for the car show tomorrow. I also found out my car was built on March 3rd, 2004. So it'll be 4 years old to the day in a few months.
UPDATE 10/19/07: I bought a Warn Reciever Shackle Bracket and a 30ft 15,000lb Bully Tow Strap.
UPDATE 10/04/07: So I finally found the roof rack I want. Hannibal's Basket Style Roof Rack. Since Safety Devices stopped producing the roof racks its become hard to come by these precious commodities, but hannibal's roof rack's functional nature caught my eye. http://www.hannibalusa.com/disco2.htm I just need to work on the money situation to purchase this $1300 beauty.
UPDATE 10/03/07: I won't be back in Fort Myers for almost 2 months and I am going over my Rover To Do list: replace passenger front speaker, replace passenger front armrest cap, tint/smoke taillights, order my roof rack in time for my xmas break, get my oil changed to a full synthetic mobil one, and replace/fix my front cigarette lighter plug (and no its not the fuse). Oh and I almost forgot, getting my rover some serious offroad time!
UPDATE 09/22/07: The damn light didn't turn off, so I went to autozone. They scanned it, confirmed it was the goddamn gas cap that keeps jiggling loose and cleared it. I also bought an Actron OBDII Port Scanner (what the guy used to scan and clear it). So i don't need to waste gas finding a shop or autozone when I pull a code.
UPDATE 08/22/07: Well I put my Cardomain Window clings on my ride today, a silver reflective on the top left corner of the windshield and a white reflective on the bottom right corner of the rear window. I also recieved my second t-shirt on cardomain. Pictures of the tshirt, decals, and some misc. stuff will be up in a few minutes.
UPDATE 07/30/07: I scotchgarded the cargoliners today, I also got my oil and air filter changed at the dealership. They also replaced my two front rim centercaps today. New videos on page 2!
UPDATE 07/24/07: Both Pieces of the Canvas 3 layer cargo liner are completed. The 1st piece was made for when the back jump seats are folded up, the 2nd piece was made for when both the back seats and the jump seats are folded up.
The 1st Main Piece is completed. Its just a Canvas (3 layers thick) that we cut and sewed ourselves. The 2nd piece will be made soon (pics up tomorrow of that piece).
Before the Custom Cargo Liner.
