1994 Ford Escort LX Wagon

Here's a classic, well maintained, clean, never wrecked very fine example of the long lasting Ford Escort LX. This ride is extremely dependable, the most dependable car I've ever owned (see garage here). The drive train is basically PERFECT! No grinding gears, no leaks, no slipping of the clutch, no idle problems, nothing at all, this car is solid.

It just got a professional oil change as it always does on schedule (receipt included). It also had the car inspected and this car will give you no surprises. I am honest and upfront in my listings, I may make cars sound worse than they are, but my buyers get NO SURPRISES! Integrity here. As stated this car looks great and has a fantastic drive train that can easily last over 250,000 miles, the car is fully drivable and could take a multi-state trip no problem, but there are a few issues to address for this car to drive like it did new:

1) The brakes are a bit spongy, ideally the rear drums should be turned and shoes replaced. Some people wouldn't mind the brakes current state, but to get the brake firmness of a new car this job is exactly and completely all that would be needed. Simple $120 brake job for those who would desire it. There is no other work that would be needed anytime soon on the brakes.

2) The steering, like that of most ALL ESCORTS, is a little loose. Most sellers WON'T disclose this, but I will, my car is no worse than theirs, but like nearly all escorts (and many other cars) over 100,000 miles, the front end ball joints and tie rod ends wear and the steering gets a little loose. These can still last for tens of thousands of miles, but it is smart to get them replaced so that the steering is tightened up. Again, easy access to the ball joints and no need to fix unless desired. If you don't mind a car that steers like most cars do over 100,000 you'll be fine, but if you want a tight car there's you're only other fix.

3) Notice the driver�s side rear tire is a miss-match.

4) Some surface rust and bubbling, mostly all under door seals and wheel wells. Worst is by the wheel wells and certainly not bad, fully disclosed in pictures.

That is a mechanic inspected, full disclosure list of any problems. The rest of this car is sound, straight, and will last a VERY long time. Engine, clutch, and transmission are GREAT. Exterior and interior both very clean, no seat rips or anything. Few dings and paint chips to be expected for a used vehicle of this year, but nothing bad. Aftermarket Pioneer door speakers up front and stock speakers in the rear. SOUNDS GREAT! All components work, AC BLOWS COLD!! Power Mirrors. Clean and Clear title, clean, no bad smells, ready to roll!

I'm leaving to do work in Japan this summer and this car MUST BE MOVED OUT BY JUNE 4th, please make sure you're available to pick up before this date! Someone will get a steal on this NO RESERVE AUCTION!!!
