Page 5: Comcast Van vs. Corolla S
Well, my fiance took the rolla out on a run for some groceries. At the entrance of our apartment complex, the street divides with a median in-between. Heres what it looks like...
Well a Comcast van was stopped right next to the fourth sign towards the left side. There was enough room to maneuver around the van...so she did. Just when she was right next to the van, the van pulls to the right...right into the side of my car. According to the Comcast worker, he was just sitting there wondering on how he could backtrack and turn around. Look at the first pic...see where there is a break in the median where someone can u-turn...well thats what he decided to do...by pulling out wide to the right and then u-turning left. I'm assuming she was in his blindspot.
Yes, I know the car is dirty, but it actually shows alot of what happened and where the van struck it. The van grazed the driver's side taking the side mirror along with it. The mirror assembly and mirror itself is trashed. A few long scratch marks and two dents on the drivers side door as well as the rear door. Scratches on the rear door handle, bottom side skirt and side moldings. I just discovered that on the inside, the triangular plastic piece with the little speaker grill is broken also.
Because of it being on private property, the cop didn't charge anyone with anything, nor did he write any tickets or decide who's fault it was. The rolla has full coverage and has a $500 deductible. $500 that I don't have.
10 Days in the shop and $500 deductible later, everything is repaired and repainted.
Total Cost $2,264.35
Comcast...I hate you.
