A New Year; All New Setup!

Well it's been a while since I've updated this, so I figured it was about time! Tink has gone through a complete overhaul, rebuild, and just a general "DO OVER!" So much has happened with her in the past year! I have a lot of catching up to do!

Well, first off, around July of last year. I was parked in Downtown Austin. No visible "It's Illegal to park here" signs. So I park my car, and walk a few blocks to a Hookah bar I've been known to haunt. A few hours later I come back out, and my car's just GONE! Of course I flip out, thinking my car had been stolen, call all the towing places, none say they have my car. I'm in total shambles at this point thinking my car was stolen!

In the end, my car wound up at a towing yard with a HUGE hole (about quarter sized) in the Front Mount! I was ROYALLY pissed as you might imagine, and sued the towing yard for literally DRAGGING the front of my car 11 miles to the towing yard! I won the cost of a new FMIC and 1k in for negligence on their part.

NOW! Let's get to the fun stuff! If anyone has followed my build, you all know my bay looks like this:

Not anymore! The work started on September 18th, 2008 and has officially ended January 10th, 2009!

The first step was getting the engine out, which proved to be a littl harder than we thought! We dropped the complete longblock and tranny out of the bottom.

And this is how she sat for 4 months while we built the engine...talk about your wheel gap!!

Now I don't know what it is about working on my car that makes my camera decide to go nutso...but just like last time my camera went crazy. So I missed a lot of the pictures...again.

I had a lot of trouble with the timing. It always takes me like 3 times longer than it SHOULD take a person! lol

UPDATE!!

So I was workin' on the ride, trying to find the vac leaks I thought I had. Well I found a massive fuel leak out of my brand new AFPR. So I sent that off to Aeromotive to get fixed (no leaks in the diaphram...so I don't know what the hells wrong with it). Hopefully I'll have her street ready soon!
