My name is Kevin Schiff. I am owner and builder of this one of a kind K-5 Blazer.
In 1987 I special ordered my K-5 Blazer. Upon deliver of the truck, I took it apart the following day. This truck is ALL UNRESTORED. It has 39,771 original miles. I put 39 inch Mickey Thompsons on this truck and the rims are 10x15 Centerlines. It has a healthy 350 4 bolt main throttle body fuel injection. I have removed the 700R-4 transmission and replaced it with a built turbo 400 with a shift kit. I have 410 Richmond gears and Mosier axles. It has heavy duty spider gears. I have Rancho 5000 dual shocks, stabilizers and kicker shocks which are all chromed. It has a chromed brush guard and 5 Dick Cepek off road lights. It has a 6 inch Rough Country lift with front springs modified to eight inches. I have custom made drive shafts with spicer U-joints. I have a full size 39 inch spare behind the rear seat. There is a custom 3 inch roll bar with 3 chrome fire extinguishers. The paint and the interior as well as the moldings and all of the chrome is bone stock ORIGINAL. I have Rhino trusts under the axles that I have chromed as well as various other items. Stereo is a Kenwood system pushing 1280 watts, which includes four Kenwood amps and 9 disk CD changer. The Blazer also has 4 ten inch Blue Thunder MTX speakers in a custom made box. It has four 6X9 Kenwood speakers. Doors have 2 six inch Blue Thunder MTX speakers. Two subwoofers are in the dash. Stereo runs 138 db out of a maximum 140 db. Truck has many other modifications and built for show and go. This bad beast stands over 7 feet 1 and half inches to the top of the cab. I installed dual batteries. It has a Hypertech chip, chromed aluminum valve covers with the Chevrolet bowtie, chrome Chevrolet air cleaner, throttle body spacer plate and it has braided hoses. This truck has a three inch exhaust from the converter back, has a Magna-Flow muffler, three inches going in and dual three inches going out with chrome tips. I did not want to radically change the truck, but wanted to keep the classic clean look of the Blazer.
The truck has over 59 trophies. It was on a world-wide calendar in 1991.
