Engine/Performance Upgrades

Soon after I bought the car...So far the only upgrade I've done is a set of Mopar 804 injectors because the previous ones were leaking. I bought it with a 3in no-cat crush bent exhaust with a baffled muffler. Sounds good but probably doesn't flow as well as it should. The engine compartment is a burnt, abused, rat's nest. Just look at that valve cover!

Engine as of now (February 2008):

July 07, Turbo Paying Dead I bought my friend Chuck's Mistu from his CSX with ~70k miles. I also purchased a new high-flow oil feed line from TU and a few other goodies since I'm in the area (Mopar oxygen sensor, head bolts and gasket). Once I get it all fixed up I'll probably set up a POV or a bleed to get the boost up there (or at least as far as the little Mistu can handle). I really need a Garrett!

September 07, G-Valve Well the "new" Mitsu is on and it's boosting great. I also bought a G-Valve that was originally made by Gus Mahon. RIght now I am running 12psi of boost. Burn-out's and butt-planting launches are now a half-throttle away.

November/Decemberish 07, Transmission Problems Well one day my transmission went from great to "I hope I can get to school and back home...". After much effort (and money) trying to find and fix the problem, it appears that the filter fell off at some point and the transmission sucked up air, burning out the clutches. So the new transmission is on the way. It's a 10k mile heavy-duty rebuild from Forward Motion. I can't wait to put it in!

February 16, new tranny installed Finnally got the new transmission installed, AND I didn't mess up the installation! Pretty good for a first timer. The new tranny works great!

And the B&M Transmission cooler I got to go with it:
